Take Your Family to an Idaho Falls Chukars Game
January 25, 2018
Enjoy America’s Favorite Past Time Watching the Idaho Falls Chukars
We are family folk here at Oxford Dental Care, and to us, there is not much better than enjoying a fun night at the ball game with our families. While Idaho Falls is a small town, we do have our very own minor league team. These games are truly a blast! Buy some peanuts and Cracker Jacks, throw on your baseball cap and head to the Melaleuca Field.
The Melaleuca Field
The Melaleuca Field and the Idaho Falls Chukars are owned by none other than the recently named wealthiest person in Idaho, Frank VanderSloot. If you are from Idaho Falls, you have no doubt heard of Frank VaderSloot, or if you haven’t heard of him, you have at least likely done purchased something from one of the businesses he owns. Frank is also the owner of Melaleuca and we are proud to call him a resident of Idaho Falls. He does so much good for our community.
The field is much like you would expect with any minor league baseball field. It is well taken care of and the seating is a combination of bleachers and chairs.
Accessibility
Chukars games are easily accessible from anywhere in Idaho Falls. That is one of the great things about the our city is that you are almost never more than 15 minutes away from anything.
If you fly into and are staying around the Idaho Falls airport, you are only a few minutes drive away from the field. Depending on traffic, you can usually make it to the field in under 10 minutes from the Idaho Falls Regional Airport.
Cost of a Chukars Game
Much like a lot of other things in Idaho Falls, Chukars games are quite affordable. At just $12 per ticket for box seats and $8 per ticket for general admission, you can likely get your whole family into a game for under $60. That is obviously dependent on the size of the family, but you can do the math.
You should budget in a few extra dollars for some hot dogs for the sake of the experience. After all, what is a baseball game without the proper stadium refreshments. All said, you will probably be out around $100 depending on the size of your family.
Part of the Idaho Falls Experience
We love to hear about friends and family having what we call the Idaho Falls experience. This includes seeing as much of the city and as many of the attractions as you can in a short amount of time. This is a small city with a lot to do, so you can really cram a lot of cool stuff into a single day. Check out some of our other pages for more of these awesome activities. If you find yourself in this situation, we highly recommend heading to Melaleuca Field for a Chukars game! Learn more about Idaho Falls.
